The fall competition for RSU golf has come to a close. The Hillcats concluded its schedule finishing eighth out of eleven teams at the Northwood Fall Shootout in Arlington, Texas.

The eighth place finish landed the Hillcats ahead of host Northwood University and Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Lubbock Christian University.

Junior Bo Sarrat led the Hillcats with a two round total of 157 after tallying a first round score of 76 placing 25th in the tournament. Sarrat was one of only six players to record an eagle on the par 72 course.

Sophomore Jared Ward was the most consistent player for the Hillcats after carding two rounds of 79 for a two-day score of 158 tying for 30th. Not too far behind was sophomore Tanner Owens with a two-day total of 161 tying for 38th.

Rounding out the RSU scoring were sophomore Collin Turner and freshman Landon Morgan. Turner shot a 163 tying for 42nd while Morgan tied for 49th with a 167 two-day card.

RSU men will hit the green course again in February to compete in the Eddie Lucio Jr., Collegiate Golf Invitational from the South Padre Golf Club in Brownsville, Texas.
